H5387 - Stephen (1135-1154), Silver Penny, 1.47g., 20mm, Watford type (c.1136-c.1145), Canterbury - Wulfric, crowned and diademed bust of king right, holding sceptre in his right hand, +STIEFNE REX, rev. cross moline, with a fleur each angle, +PVLFRIC:ON:CAN: (N.873; S.1278), clearly discernible legends and portrait, very fine, a rare moneyer for the  mint as noted by Elmore Jones himself, scarce. $1495

JCN44 - Stephen (1135-1154), Silver Penny, 1.11g., Local Variant of Watford type, Bury St. Edmund - Hunfrei, crowned and diademed bust of king left, holding sceptre in his right hand, +STIEFNE+, rev. cross moline, with a fleur each angle, +HVNFRI:ON:EDM [hVNF engraved over hENR?], (N.873; S.1278), extremely rare, only recorded example, toned, very minor edge crack at 12 o'clock, almost extremley fine. $6995 SOLD

JCN43 - Stephen (1135-1154), Silver Penny, 1.10g., Watford type (c.1136-c.1145), Thetford - Baldwin, crowned and diademed bust of king right, holding sceptre in his right hand, +STIEFNE:, rev. cross moline, with a fleur each angle, [....]LIN:ON:TE, (N.873; S.1278),  reverse turned in the die 180º, hence jumbled legend, a bold detailed and well executed bust of Stephen, toned, good very fine.  $1695 NOW $1295
