H405  - Cnut (1016-1035), Silver Penny, 0.91g., Quatrefoil type (c.1017 - c.1023), Hertford - Wulfric, crowned bust left within quatrefoil, +CNVT REX ANGLO, rev., voided long cross with cusp terminals over quatrefoil, +PVLFRIC OI HER, (N.781; S.1157; same obverse die as SCBI Copenhagen 1224), with a superb provenance, a few peckmarks and with an inner circle crack to the edge otherwise good very fine, toned and rare. $695 SALE $595 SOLD
